National Fuel Gas Company announced the appointment of Jeffrey F. Hart as the company’s first vice president of corporate responsibility.
CenterPoint Energy Inc. announced that its board of directors has appointed David J. Lesar as president and CEO.
Kevin C. Sagara has been named group president of Sempra Energy, overseeing the company’s California utilities, San Diego Gas & Electric Company and Southern California Gas Company. Caroline A. Winn, chief operating officer of SDG&E, has been named CEO of SDG&E. Scott D. Drury, president of SDG&E, has been named CEO of SoCalGas, replacing Bret Lane, who has retired after 38 years of distinguished service for the company.
South Jersey Industries Inc. Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Cielo Hernandez will leave the company to pursue other opportunities. Hernandez will remain as senior vice president until Oct. 30 to help with the transition. Steven Cocchi was named interim CFO to replace Hernandez. Melissa Orsen stepped down as general counsel and was named president of the company’s subsidiary South Jersey Gas Company. She continues as senior vice president at South Jersey Industries.
Southern Company Gas has created two new departments: sustainability and innovation and renewable natural gas. The sustainability and innovation group is being led by Joanne Mello, who was named director, sustainability and energy policy. Greg Jones was named director, climate and environmental policy. The RNG group is being led by Robin Lanier, director, RNG. In other appointments, Executive Vice President and Chief External and Public Affairs Officer John O. Hudson III was promoted to a new role as president and CEO of Nicor Gas; Hudson succeeds Melvin D. Williams, who retired Sept. 1. Southern Company Gas also named Bryan Batson as executive vice president of external affairs and chief external and public affairs officer. Pedro Cherry succeeds Batson as president and CEO of Atlanta Gas Light and Chattanooga Gas.
