ACUHO-I Funded Research Grant Proposals Now Open
ACUHO-I is currently accepting proposals for the 2024 Funded Research Grants. Provided by the ACUHO-I Foundation, grants of up to $7,000 are available to finance and support studies that address the ACUHO-I research agenda priorities or Future of the Profession imperatives. The submission deadline is April 7, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern).
Faculty, practitioners, scholars, and graduate students are all encouraged to apply for funding. Applicants will be asked to provide details about the topic, research team, and IRB approval among other details. Applications are reviewed by members of the ACUHO-I Research Committee.

ACUHO-I Annual Business Meeting Scheduled
ACUHO-I President Gay Perez and ACUHO-I Chief Executive Officer Mary DeNiro will host the 2024 ACUHO-I Annual Business Meeting on March 21 at 4 p.m. (Eastern, U.S.). This virtual meeting will recap Association highlights from the previous year as well as offer a preview of upcoming projects and initiatives. Along with a view of ACUHO-I finances, the program will discuss the ACUHO-I Strategic Plan, provide updates on the Higher Education Consortium for Student Affairs Certification, and detail highlights of the Future of the Profession initiative. There is no charge for attendance, but registration is required.
Upcoming Professional Development Highlights
Several professional development opportunities for ACUHO-I members will be occurring in the coming weeks. Keep up to date with all Association events by regularly checking the Association’s website and calendar for more opportunities.
The ACUHO-I One Symposium will be held online on March 27, 2024. This year's program, under the theme "Creating Solutions from Challenges," will focus on meeting the needs of students and staff with disabilities. Topic areas include supporting students and staff with disabilities, creating accessible and inclusive housing, accessibility and disability programming, the intersection between disabilities and other identities, legal issues, and partnerships with disability, accessibility, and accommodations offices.
Registration is open for the Live-in Staff Symposium, which takes place on April 10. This virtual event will feature speaker John Delate, vice president of enrollment and student affairs at SUNY Adirondack, who will present “Managing Up, Leadership, and Career Readiness.” The full event schedule is available online.
The Small College and University Symposium takes place virtually on April 17 and kicks off with opening speaker Lee Gardner, a senior writer for The Chronicle of Higher Education and author of the report “Surviving as a Small College.” The remainder of this symposium’s schedule is filled with additional engaging speakers and topics.
