Tennessee Museum Exhibit Celebrates America’s 250th Anniversary
A new exhibition, "Tennessee Voices, American Stories," will commemorate the United States' 250th anniversary by exploring Tennessee's historical contributions to the nation. The display highlights artifacts from the Museum’s collection and stories from remarkable Tennesseans.
The exhibit centers on three themes from the U.S. Constitution's preamble: “We the People,” “A More Perfect Union” and “The Blessings of Liberty.” Each section features stories from both well-known and unsung individuals who helped shape the state and the country.
"Tennessee Voices, American Stories" is open to the public at the Tennessee State Museum in Nashville now through November 2026. The exhibit offers a unique look at America’s shared past through a Tennessee lens.

Duke Gardens Expands with New Garden Gateway Project
Located in Durham, North Carolina, the Sarah P. Duke Gardens will open a transformative $30 million expansion in spring 2026. The Garden Gateway project will enrich the visitor experience at the 55-acre botanic garden with upgraded facilities and beautiful new landscapes.
The expansion features a new welcome center with a cafe, enhanced educational spaces and 10,000 square feet of new green space. It also provides safer entryways for the 600,000 people who visit annually.
While construction continues, the gardens remain open to the public. Visitors must use a temporary entrance at 2000 Lewis St. because the main Anderson Street entrance is closed. Additionally, weekday visitor parking is currently unavailable at the gardens, though weekend parking is available in designated university lots nearby.
