Even More Reasons to Love
Sevierville, TN
The list of great reasons to love Sevierville, Tennessee, is already jam-packed—and this year it keeps growing with even more excitement! Here’s a look at the newest developments underway in Dolly Parton’s hometown.
> SHOPPING
Tanger Sevierville, the Smokies’ most popular shopping destination, has a fresh look with cozy pocket parks, interactive sculptures, and new stores like Sephora, a favorite among cosmetics aficionados. Revamped and newer stores include an expanded Gap Outlet, Coach, Kate Spade, and Tecovas.
> QUAINT DOWNTOWN
Sevierville’s historic downtown offers Hallmark vibes with beautiful architecture, vibrant murals, and rich history. Make plans for brunch, lunch, or dinner at one of the chef-driven restaurants then snap photos with the bronze statue of Sevierville’s own Dolly Parton or take a self-guided historic walking tour.
> QUIRKY FUN
Looking for an out-of-the-box activity? Sevierville’s attractions fill the bill. Head to SkyLand Ranch, a mountain top theme park, for views and thrills aboard The WagonWheeler, a 100-foot-tall swing tower. Feed and pet unique ranch animals — like longhorn steer — on the Safari Hayride experience, ride the southeast’s longest mountain coaster, meet miniature highland cattle, and enjoy daily live shows. Or take the kids to Dig ‘N Zone theme park where even the littlest builders can operate real heavy equipment.
> NEIGHBORING DESTINATIONS
It’s no secret – Sevierville has great neighbors, making it the perfect place to stay while exploring nearby attractions. In 2026, Gatlinburg’s Anakeesta is expanding with glass-bottomed chondolas to carry guests to the mountaintop, a completely reimagined Firefly Village, an expanded Treetop Skywalk, and a nighttime Firefly Experience. Nearby, Dollywood’s Night Flight Expedition is a first of its kind hybrid coaster and river raft ride, taking riders on a nighttime journey through the mountains to search for the legendary Secret Lake.
> NEW PLACES TO STAY
Sevierville’s newest hotels include branded properties like Courtyard by Marriott Kodak and Home 2 Suites by Hilton. Of course, guests can also check out options like luxurious mountainside cabins, full-service waterpark resorts, treehouses, and glamping.
Wilderness at the Smokies Waterpark Resort has recently renovated their Stonehill Lodge and added large four-bedroom cabin options, completed a 40,000 square foot indoor waterpark expansion, and added a rooftop glass-edge pool overlooking the Smokies.
