Next, visit Little Red Barn Pottery & Art Gallery, where you might spot Master Potter Liz Ringus throwing clay. Take the time to ask about her work, any events happening or where to head for lunch. After, rest at God’s Acre Healing Springs in Blackville and sip the cool waters that Indigenous Americans and Revolutionary soldiers believed had restorative abilities.
Spend the rest of the day in Aiken, known as one of the best small towns in the South. Enjoy endless shopping and dining opportunities, Aiken Center for the Arts, attend a symphony concert, stroll The Alley or explore the planetarium.
Day Three
Visit South Carolina's largest safari drive-thru, Eudora Wildlife Safari Park in Salley. Home to more than 300 exotic animals, guests can drive or walk through the park and see animals you don't see every day. Or check out the Aiken County Historical Museum, which is filled with artifacts, stories and exhibits that highlight the county’s beginnings and notable events. Wrap up in North Augusta where you will find charm aplenty. Grab a handmade burger and classic float at Sno-Cap, a nostalgic drive-in diner with timeless flavor. Lastly, enjoy a self-guided journey through historic rural communities at the Arts & Heritage Center. Discover the region’s character and history through interpretive exhibits and two floors of artwork from regional artists.
