Jeff Brunski, the vice president of research and development for Xxio, is excited about the company’s new line of Prime drivers, fairways, hybrids and irons.
“It’s safe to say that this is the most advanced set of clubs ever developed for moderate-to-slow-swing-speed players,” he explained. “From the exotic materials and construction to the ultra-lightweight shafts featuring our Weight Plus counter-weighting technology, every detail in the new Xxio Prime has been engineered to add distance and accuracy, specifically for players who have lost some yards over the years.”
One of those details is the Rebound Frame, which is employed on the new Prime driver. Brunski lauds that advance for the way its alternating pattern of stiff and flexible zones focuses more of a player’s energy impact into the golf ball, increasing ball speed and distance in the process, even on off-center hits.
As for the Weight Plus technology, it places weights in the end of each club shaft. Located behind a golfer’s hand as he or she grips the club, it helps push the clubhead up through the backswing, for a more consistent top-of-swing position. And as the downswing begins, the weight brings the golfer’s hands into position, keeping the arms closer to the body for a squarer face at impact.
In addition, each of the woods and irons has a Super-TIX Plus titanium face that is designed to add speed to all shots through the bag. And the new Xxio Prime SP-1100 shaft, with Torayca T1100G carbon fiber and nano-alloy resin, is lightweight and made to produce more swing speed in those who need it most. According to Brunski, the softer tip section also makes it easier to close the clubface and strike the ball more purely.
