Windstar Cruises has announced the start of a multi-year, multimillion-dollar enterprise that will revamp, redesign and refresh its three original sailing yachts, Wind Star, Wind Spirit and Wind Surf. Kicking off the program is the completion of phase one of Wind Star’s renovations, which included the expansion of the lobby area; a redesign of the lounge with new furniture, lighting and finishes; new state-of-the-art equipment and more for The World Spa by Windstar; an expanded pool deck and the addition of a new pool and jacuzzi with an extension of the pool bar, new furniture, fauna, greenery and more; specially commissioned artwork through the brand’s partnership with Fountainhead Arts in Miami; and additional WiFi access points for better connection plus new, larger TVs in every cabin. But the above isn’t all that will happen with this particular vessel. In 2026, the second phase of renovations will include the remaining staterooms, the main dining room, Amphora, and the lunch/breakfast restaurant, Veranda.Sister ship Wind Spirit will be fully revamped and completed in 2025. Wind Surf’s renovation will be done in two phases in 2024 and 2026 and will include a full redesign of all public spaces from top to bottom, with guest staterooms, Premium Suites and Owner’s Suites receiving a complete refurbishment.
