As world-class resorts are the bedrock of Membership Magic, and as the thoughtful refreshment of those resorts is critical to keeping the neighborhood ahead of the curve, Disney Files Magazine is pleased to share the latest refurbishment news and notes in this recurring “Hard Hat Report.” This installment takes a closer look at the recently completed soft-goods refurbishment of villas at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, teased in the summer edition of this magazine. With updates to select furnishings, artwork, throw pillows, carpeting, paint and more, the refreshed accommodations celebrate the resort’s actual coastal setting, as well as the imagined “big, blue world” of Disney and Pixar’s Finding Nemo and Finding Dory.
Custom paint colors from PPG, the Official Paint of Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, blend sea glass hues with turquoise accents throughout the refreshed accommodations.
Dory “just keeps swimming” in one of the custom murals revealed when you open beds cleverly hidden behind sofas. (Dory’s sea turtle friends are a nod to the actual sea turtles that nest near the resort.)
Things “get real” in another bedroom, with images of actual Loggerhead Sea Turtles adorning walls, and new carpet drawing color inspiration from the Treasure Coast sand.
Celebrating the magical migrations that begin each year along nearby shores, a baby sea turtle (is that you, Squirt?) makes its way to the sea in an artful image displayed in this updated bathroom.
