"Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul."Emily Dickenson
Change, we know, doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time, investment, expertise, collaboration and, crucially, two things that are not likely to find themselves among typical business buzzwords but are equally as important - hope and patience.
Supporting Trees for Life is an investment in a more sustainable and resilient future. While we are all too well aware that a climate emergency is underway, we should not be deterred from hoping for, and working towards, a better place for nature and people. It can be a leap of faith but in the ever-evolving landscape of corporate social responsibility, the role of business partnerships is key in driving meaningful change and fostering a sense of collective responsibility.
Our partnerships are much more than transactional and there is something very inspiring in working with companies that think laterally on how they can support Trees for Life. More and more businesses are looking to support specific rewilding projects and understand that these will usually involve substantial funding requirements. We are delighted to work with many bold and innovative businesses that think in the long-term and want to support our ambitious plans for the coming decades.
Pioneer partners, that commit to significant multiyear funding, will play a key part in Trees for Life’s continued success and growth. We have already seen a meaningful commitment from partners including Clean Planet Energy, Startline Motor Finance & Gordon & MacPhail, who all recognise the importance of focusing on the long-term benefits of environmental stewardship.
Our generous supporters think big, not only in terms of funding but in sharing our ambitions. They are bold in putting their trust in the work that Trees for Life does and for engaging hopefully in what the future of rewilding could look like. Many of the landscapes that our partners are supporting will only be at the beginning of that restoration process and companies that help us to invest in them know that they may not see the tangible outcomes for several years, if not decades. It is a credit to their forward-thinking mindset and the sustainability aspirations embedded in their businesses that our supporters can see a rewilded future as an achievable reality as much as we can.
