Jordan T. Beck is part of the fifth generation of the original Sanford/Spears family leading Heritage Sleep Concepts in Rome, Georgia. When he’s not serving as president of one of the fastest-growing mattress manufacturers in the country, he enjoys traveling—he most recently visited Utah for a family vacation—and he’s also keeping his mind sharp by learning how to play mahjong with his wife, Ali. Beck says he also loves being an advocate for the industry, “especially when it comes to encouraging more young leaders to get involved and see the opportunity that exists in sleep.”
Jordan T. Beck: A cool room, preferably mid-60s with the fan on!
JTB: I ideally like to get in bed around 9:30 p.m. and be asleep by 10 p.m.
JTB: Yea! Our dachshund, Bennie, sleeps in between my wife and I every night.
JTB: Barefoot. I am a hot sleeper, so no socks for me.
JTB: I have our wedding photo, Hatch alarm clock, and David Goggins’ book, Can’t Hurt Me.
JTB: Talalay latex pillows. They keep the same form all night and never overheat.
JTB: I am a firm believer in nice pajamas. I believe they enhance my sleep experience regardless of where I sleep.
JTB: I’m not sure if it’s strange or a superpower, but I’m able to sleep through long-distance flights. Which is really convenient for when we travel, and I land somewhat refreshed!
JTB: My wife and I break the “no TV in bed” rule. Right now, we’re watching the new series, “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,” on HBO.
JTB: Scroll on my phone, researching trending bedding programs and marketing ideas.
JTB: Sound machine.
JTB: In a world that never stops moving, sleep remains the one thing that keeps us human. Sleep is the silent force behind every great day. •
