Big NumberOur biggest event is more popular than ever. The Big Number represents the record-breaking number of entries for this month's 109th Texas Amateur Championship at Whispering Pines in Trinity. Male amateur golfers with GHIN Handicap Indexes of 6.4 or better are eligible to register and attempt to qualify for the oldest and most prestigious championship in Texas. This year more than ever signed up. The 875 entries, a number that includes 43 exempt players, eclipsed the previous record by 24. Back in 2014, we had 851 entries for the 105th Texas Amateur at Brook Hollow Golf Club in Dallas.
