The TGA’s and Legends Junior Tour’s 2025 tournament schedules really kicked into high gear over the past two months, with a combined 15 events held across the state from Wichita Falls to Corpus Christi and all points in between.
Several of the biggest championships of the year were held during that action-packed stretch, including the Texas Amateur, Women’s Texas Amateur, Women’s Stroke Play, and Texas Junior Amateur. And that means it was a massive opportunity to earn some serious performance points in the 10 division races for Texas Players of the Year.
Fortunes definitely improved for the top finishers, while others suddenly found themselves in need of making up lost ground. With a number of prominent events remaining on the schedules, along with a bonanza of points on the line, there are likely to be more abrupt reversals atop the leaderboards as the TGA and LJT 2025 seasons round the final turns and enter the homestretches.
Here’s a snapshot of the standings as of Aug. 10 as the sprint to the finish line heats up. For up-to-date information on Texas Players of the Year standings, go to the Men’s, Women’s and Legends Junior Tour landing pages under the Play drop-down menu on txga.org.
