The average total amount golf vacationers spent on travel in 2017, according to the most recent data from the National Golf Foundation. Based on the NGF’s 2018 report compiled from surveying more than 1,400 U.S. golfers, each respondent went on an average of three trips per year. That made the cost of each trip about $850. The report also noted that private club golfers spent, on average, three times as much on golf travel as public course golfers.
