Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is served by nearly 20 competitively priced carriers and acts as a hub for two of them (American and Southwest Airlines).
Convenient transportation to the airport comes by way of PHX Sky Train. This free, driverless people-mover transports Valley Metro Rail passengers to the airport from the 44th Street/Washington Street Station. The PHX Sky Train features a 100-foot-high bridge over the taxiway that connects the airport’s north and south runways, making it the first location in the world where trains pass over airplanes.
Hungry? Check out Sky Harbor’s selection of locally owned restaurants. This isn’t your standard airport fare. Celebrated for the inventive dishes served at their main locations around town, these eateries offer condensed versions of their menus at the airport. In Terminal 4, be on the lookout for local favorites such as Barrio Café, Matt’s Big Breakfast, La Grande Orange, Four Peaks Brewery and Blanco Tacos + Tequila. Terminal 2 features O.H.S.O. and Barrio Avion.
The smaller Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, located in the southeastern part of Greater Phoenix, offers nonstop passenger service to more than 35 U.S. cities. For more air services, see the Transportation listings.
