As we enter this season of gift giving, join If Not for Music in giving the Gift of Music to an aspiring musician in need right here in southeastern Pennsylvania. Thanks to a generous donation we just received, your gift will be matched dollar for dollar up to $5000. Here's why contributing to our Gift of Learning Fund is so impactful to local musicians.
Music lessons can be expensive. The average cost in the United States across all instruments is $70 per hour. Many private lessons are more than $100 per hour. Add in the purchase and maintenance of the musical instruments and travel logistics and costs of taking the music lessons and you have a very challenging financial situation for families with limited resources who are trying to nurture and finance their children’s love of music .
Your gift to If Not for Music’s Gift of Learning Fund changes all that by providing full or partial financial assistance to music students facing financial need. In the process, each young musician reaps the side benefits of a musical education:
Improved academic performance
Confidence building
Reduced anxiety and depression
Enhanced self-esteem
and Strong social skills
By supporting the Gift of Learning Fund, you are assured that music, and its benefits, are not just for those fortunate enough to afford it but are available to all. And it's important to note, that every dollar donated to our Fund will support students right here in the Coatesville, Downingtown, West Chester, Kennet Square and Unionville/Chadds Ford school districts. You can help aspiring musicians right here is your own community by supporting our Gift of Learning Fund.
