The winter weather delayed, but it did not deny National Catholic Schools Week (CSW) 2026, January 25–31! Referred to as “abbreviated,” “belated,” “postponed,” and “delayed,” our Catholic schools found ways to celebrate CSW.
With some schools closed across the country due to heavy snow, frigid temperatures, dangerous winds, and relentless ice and “snowcrete,” the only possible hope for CSW was to pause it. Here’s a glimpse at how our Catholic school communities refused to let the weeklong celebration of Catholic education be called for weather.
