MGA FOUNDATION

Frankie Squillante went from hardly knowing a thing about golf to having it become a valuable part of his growth as a now-college sophomore.
Just before starting his second year at Fairfield University, he completed his fifth summer at Wkykagyl Country Club, where he worked on the outside operations team after caddieing the years prior. He took on the new role to diversify his skillset and understand more of what it takes to make a club run seamlessly.
With that growth mindset, it’s no surprise that Squillante was named a recipient of the John Pinto Scholarship Fund two years ago. On top of that, he was a part of the inaugural class of GOLFWORKS Graduate Scholars, a scholarship awarded to deserving GOLFWORKS interns.
Squillante has learned a handful of life lessons working in service to the game and recognizes the value in those opportunities along with the impact of the MGACSF and MGA Foundation’s scholarships. That’s why he has made it a goal to give back – to open doors for future interns and prospective scholars.
Check out the video below to learn more about Squillante’s love for working in the game, how his experience came into play when writing his college essay, why paying it forward is important to him, and more.
