For more than a decade, this tournament has been one of the most exciting stops on the global rugby sevens circuit. Every year it brings world-class athletes and passionate fans to our city, and Vancouver shows up in full force.
To the athletes competing this weekend: thank you. The commitment it takes to reach this level is incredible. Your speed, strength, and teamwork are what make this event so special, and you’re inspiring the next generation of players watching from the stands and at home.
Vancouver is proud to be a premier destination for major international events. When BC Place is packed and the crowd is on its feet, there’s nothing like it. The energy you bring doesn’t just fill the stadium, it carries through our neighbourhoods, restaurants, and local businesses across the city.
