LAN
Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN), a leading planning, engineering and program management firm, announced the launch of its new logo, a significant milestone in the company’s 90-year history. This updated visual identity reflects LAN’s evolution into a modern, employee-owned firm, while honoring its rich legacy and showcasing its commitment to innovation, growth and technology leadership.
The new logo, officially unveiled during the company's 90th anniversary celebration in March, represents a bold new era for LAN. The design features a hexagon icon, a powerful symbol of symmetry and balance, originating from a cube that is divided to illustrate individual pieces moving together to form a cohesive whole. This echoes the six principles of the LAN brand, symbolizing the firm’s collaborative culture and technological leadership.
“The decision to update our logo was driven by the transformative changes LAN has undergone, including the transition to employee ownership,” said Kerry Gregg, marketing director at LAN. “Our refreshed logo signals a bold new era, aligning our brand’s visual identity with our commitment to innovation and a collaborative culture, while honoring our legacy. It strengthens our competitive position, resonates with clients and partners, and energizes our employees as they take pride in being part of an evolving, forward-thinking organization.”

Construction Safety Week
Construction Safety Week is the construction industry’s annual week-long event designed to promote worker safety and wellness. It is an opportunity for people, companies, and the entire industry to join together, celebrate and re-commit to ensure that every person returns home safely every day. This year’s event will bring the industry together to focus on safety May 5-9.
In the construction industry, incident rates are traditionally higher than other occupations. Considerable measures have been and continue to be taken to prioritize and commit to safety. While Construction Safety Week is a week-long event, there is a concerted effort to encourage a commitment to safety throughout the year.
This year’s theme, All in Together, highlights the importance of working together to create a safer industry and explores three key pillars: plan, own, commit.
The first and key piece of this theme is to plan with precision, purpose and determination. Crafting a plan that considers all the details and risks from the start can help reduce incidents and injuries on the jobsite.
The second component is encouraging all workers to own a part in the safety and success of their team and stop work to review the plan when conditions change. Empowering every person to take an active role in executing the plan safely can help build trust and respect amongst teams. Finally, when everyone on the team fully commits to executing the plan with intention and precision, the team is stronger, the work is safer, and a positive culture shift emerges throughout the entire industry.
“Construction Safety Week represents the construction industry at its best – united in purpose and driven by a shared commitment to protecting the lives of everyone on our job sites. It’s a testament to what we can achieve when we come together, putting safety at the forefront of everything we do.” said Mike Choutka, 2025 Safety Week Chair and CEO of Hensel Phelps.
Safety Week was founded in 2014 by members of The Construction Industry Safety Initiative (CISI) and the Incident & Injury Free Executive Forum (IIF), and now includes 70 of the top contractors in the industry, representing thousands of workers. Additional support comes from Safety Week sponsors, partners, and advocates.
DEVELON
DEVELON is expanding its dealer network in the United States with six new locations. Stewart & Stevenson is the newest dealer enterprise to join the DEVELON dealer network, which now has more than 200 locations in North America.
Stewart & Stevenson offers the full line of DEVELON construction equipment at its locations in Albuquerque, New Mexico; Denver, Colorado; New Orleans, Louisiana; and El Paso, Lubbock and Wichita Falls, Texas.
“Stewart & Stevenson has been in business for more than 120 years, distributing engines, transmissions and parts for on-highway, industrial, power generation, and oil and gas applications” said Brian Carey, director of service.
“Innovation is engrained in who we are, and we are excited to partner with DEVELON to expand our offerings into the construction equipment market. The reputation of DEVELON for high-spec construction equipment at a competitive price fits our strategy to represent quality, proven products throughout our distribution footprint.”
The new dealer locations have DEVELON machines in stock and parts readily available to service customers’ equipment, including older, legacy machines operating in these areas.
“It’s extremely important for our stores to carry a full line of construction equipment, both for sales and short- and long-term rentals,” said Carey. “Having the flexibility to solve a customer’s problem with different equipment lines and a wide range of options is a major asset as we build our profile in the equipment business. Serving as a one-stop shop for our customers builds loyalty and creates value for our customers.”
“This is a win-win situation for DEVELON and Stewart & Stevenson,” said Morgan Stallings, senior director of product management and marketing at DEVELON. “We’re able to grow our dealer network in key metropolitan areas while Stewart & Stevenson adds construction equipment to its existing product offering.”
DEVELON North America is headquartered in Suwanee, Georgia, and markets the DEVELON (de•VEL•on) brand of award-winning products. These products include crawler, wheel and mini excavators; material handlers; log loaders; dozers; wheel loaders; articulated dump trucks; compact track loaders and attachments. UI
