Gulf Energy Information’s Global Energy Infrastructure (GEI) database is tracking more than 7,300 oil and gas pipeline projects globally. These can be broken out regionally and under the separate categories of planned, under construction, non-operational and operating. Categories include status, length, diameter and estimated capacity.
Of the 7,369 pipelines, 2,073 are oil pipelines and 5,296 are gas pipelines. Here are some new data points breaking down the pipelines by type and region up to this point in 2025. P&GJ
