New Balance blends aesthetics and comfort in its street-style 997 shoe that works on and off the golf course.
The 997 – which comes in spiked and spikeless models – has a waterproof microfiber leather upper that is guaranteed for two years to keep the foot dry during dewy morning rounds or inclement weather. The upper includes a traditional lace-up for a secure fit and padding on the tongue and collar for added comfort. Extra structural support is provided with a double-stitched overlay.
The 997’s Cush+ insole paired with the new Abzorb midsole offers ultra-soft and responsive cushioning in every step. The midsole technology is constructed to absorb impact by blending foam cushioning and compression resistance for longer-lasting shock absorption, support and cushioning. New Balance golf shoes come with a 45-day comfort warranty.
The 997 Golf ($119.99) uses Fast Twist 3.0 removable Pulsar cleats with eight flexible and green-friendly pads to assist in grip and traction. The Ndurance rubber outsole uses multi-faceted flex grooves that allow the shoe to move with the natural motion of the foot. It’s offered in gray, navy and limited-edition white/green models.
The 997 SL ($109.99) has an Ndurance spikeless rubber outsole that provides maximum durability in high-wear areas and flexibility in key areas during walking. Color options include white, black/gray and sand.
