Vokey WedgeWorks enhances its SM11 lineup with an expanded selection of sole grinds for lob wedges to help fit every style. Golfers now have access to five additional lob wedge grinds – L, A, K*, A+ and V – as well as the 62M for players seeking even more loft.
“Having more grind options just gives us more tools to work with, whether it’s with tour players or dedicated amateurs,” said Aaron Dill, Vokey tour rep. “When a player gets their hands on the right grind, everything seems to click into place. The WedgeWorks lineup gives us the chance to find that optimal fit across even more playing styles and delivery patterns.”
The L grind is a narrow-soled, low-bounce grind with heel, toe and trailing-edge relief that’s suited for golfers playing off firm to neutral turf conditions as it protects against excessive digging.
The A Grind is ideal for players looking to slide the wedge under the ball in firm, tight conditions.
The popular K* Grind features a wide, low-bounce sole and a steeper pre-wear on the leading edge to resist excessive digging and is suitable out of bunkers.
The A+ Grind is a mid-bounce wedge that moves faster through the turf while the V Grind is a mid- to high-bounce wedge that features a forward section of increased bounce for forgiveness on square-faced shots and excels in neutral to soft conditions.
The M is Bob Vokey’s favorite grind – a versatile mid-bounce wedge with a sole shape that excels across a variety of conditions and promotes shot-making around the greens. Already available in 58 and 60 degrees in the SM11 line, it now offers a 62-degree version for players looking to elevate and stop the golf ball quickly from shorter distances.
