TaylorMade delivers an even larger and more forgiving scoring club in its fourth generation of Hi-Toe wedges.
The appropriately named Hi-Toe 4 wedges have a larger and more forgiving toe pad, full-face grooves and an elevated center of gravity for a more penetrating flight and maximum spin.
“Hi-Toe wedges are a great option for any player who gains confidence from a wedge with a larger face and full-face grooves to ensure maximum spin regardless of where you strike it on the face,” said Matt Bovee, TaylorMade’s global category director, irons and wedges. “Now with Spin Tread Raw face technology and a new array of grinds, the Hi-Toe 4 has more performance and versatility than ever before.”
Spin Tread technology, which debuted on Milled Grind 4 wedges, is in the Hi-Toe wedges for the first time. TaylorMade engineers purport the face finish promotes increased friction and spin as well as displaces moisture in wet conditions.
The Hi-Toe 4 ($179.99 per wedge) comes in five machine-milled “all terrain’ grinds – standard, versatility, Xtra, C and wide – and to cover the full spectrum of playing conditions.
Via its My Hi-Toe 4 option, players can build their own wedges ($229.99) by choosing the paint fill and finish (raw, chrome and black), engrave custom text and images and customize shaft and grip.
