Ireland’s Brendan Lawlor made history with his inaugural G4D Open victory at Woburn last May.
The two leading players in the World Ranking for Golfers with Disability could hardly be separated in an engrossing final round, before world No. 2 Lawlor claimed victory over England’s Kipp Popert by two shots over the renowned Duchess Course.
“It was a dream moment in my career to make history as the first champion of the G4D Open and it was an incredible week to be part of,” Lawlor said. “The R&A, DP World Tour, EDGA and everybody involved put in so much work for the inaugural championship, and I look forward to returning to a beautiful course and inspiring more and more people into golf.”
A field of 80 players from across the world from different sport classes is again set to assemble next month.
