With spring around the corner, golfers will be breaking in new shoes for the 2024 season. Both Callaway and New Balance released new models in February.
Callaway added the Newport and Pacific SL to its footwear collection, while New Balance added the classic silhouette Heritage to its line.
The Newport ($169.95) is a high-performance waterproof shoe with full-grain leather upper and advanced midsole technology for comfort plus a mesh liner allowing heat to move away from the foot. It features an external heel counter to increase stability during the load-bearing phase of the golf swing and a nine-spike TPU outsole with FastTwist 3.0 removable Pulsar cleats.
The Pacific SL ($89.95) is a spikeless shoe with a breathable mesh upper featuring a lightweight forged-foam midsole for comfort and a molded textile heel for stability.
New Balance’s Heritage ($139.95) has a waterproof microfiber leather performance mesh upper and features a new “Dynasoft” midsole providing comfort and performance on all terrains. The rubber outsole has six FastTwist 3.0 removable Pulsar cleats.
