Cobra’s all-new line of Air-X drivers, fairways, irons and hybrids combine lightweight design with cutting-edge technologies to help players with smooth tempos and average-to-moderate speeds hit it higher, longer and straighter.
At just 290 grams (including a 41-gram grip and 50-gram shaft), the Air-X driver is approximately 40 grams lighter than a standard-weight Aerojet driver, making it easier to swing for average- and moderate-speed players.
Its offset hosel encourages a square clubface at impact to reduce a slice or create a draw, as well as easier launch and straighter, higher-trajectory shots. A 26-gram weight has been added to the back and heel of the clubhead to provide improved MOI and forgiveness, creating more of a heel bias to encourage higher launch and reduce slice spin.
Cobra’s 15-percent thinner H.O.T. face insert also provides more speed and distance than the previous Air-X driver.
The new Air-X fairways feature the same high-performance technologies as the drivers, with a low-profile design to lower the center of gravity and encourage easier launch from a variety of lies.
The Air-X driver ($349) and fairways ($229) come in men’s and women’s models. They also are available in complete 12-piece sets ($1,499) that come standard with a premium cart bag featuring a 14-way top with four full-length dividers.
The sets include the new game-improvement Air-X irons and hybrids, Cobra’s lightest clubs to allow for easier speed creation and launch.
The ultralite Air-X irons are available in a stock seven-piece set for men ($699 steel; $799 graphite) or graphite combo sets for men and women ($799 graphite). The men’s and women’s Air-X hybrids featured in the combo sets also are available to purchase as standalone options ($199).
