The ticket ballot for The 150th Open is now closed. Applicants will no longer be able to enter or amend a ticket application.
With unprecedented levels of demand for tickets, a ballot was introduced for The 150th Open to provide the fairest and most inclusive way of ensuring golf fans from around the world had the chance to secure their place at the iconic Old Course in 2022.
The ballot opened on 1 July and closed on 4 October at 12pm BST, with just less than 1.3 million ticket applications received.
All applications now will be processed and individuals will be notified on the status of their application between October and November.
Due to the huge level of interest, The R&A anticipates that this process could take a number of weeks and individuals may be notified about the success of their application at different stages.
