The recently released King Tec hybrid from Cobra is a player’s club designed to provide exceptional distance, forgiveness and control.
The distance comes largely from a Pwrshell face that uses a forged, stainless steel L-cup insert to produce faster ball speeds across the clubface. In addition, employment of a carbon fiber crown allows for the repositioning of weight low and back in the clubhead, to lower center of gravity. Company engineers say those advances helped them create an enviable combination of high launch, reduced spin, longer carry distance and softer landings into greens.
A slightly oversized profile also bolsters forgiveness, while a squarer leading edge is included to endow the club with a more pleasing look at address, in an effort to enhance confidence.
To optimize performance for an even wider range of golfers, the King Tec hybrid also features adjustable weight and loft systems, so players can produce the launch, spin and trajectory they want.
