First released in 2018, the Coronado golf footwear line from Callaway now offers two new models.
The first of those is the Coronado v2, which features a ForgedFoam midsole made with a proprietary material that the company says will provide proper cushioning and “a high-energy return.” These shoes also employ an external CounterLok heel stabilizer, which is designed to increase stability during the load-bearing phase of the golf swing.
A waterproof, microfiber leather upper is included to help keep the feet dry, and a mesh sock liner is designed for both breathability and heat management. As for the nine-spike outsole, it is employed to further bolster stability and enhance traction, no matter what the terrain might be.
The other new member of the Coronado line is the v2 SL. According to company officials, it offers all the performance technologies of the v2 but with a spikeless outsole that incorporates strategic cutouts to allow the shoe to flex and move with the foot throughout the swing.
