When Cleveland Golf introduced its first Frontline flatsticks two years ago, company engineers praised them for the way they promoted straighter putts and better distance control. The secret, they said, was shifting weight forward in the clubface.
Those first releases proved to be so popular that the company has decided to add new models to the family: the Frontline 2.0 Flow Neck, the Frontline 8.0 Slant Neck/Single Bend, the Frontline 10.5 Slant Neck/Single Bend and the Frontline Elevado Plumber’s Neck.
“Cleveland Frontline putters have changed how we think about weighting in putters,” said Dustin Brekke, the director of engineering for the equipment maker. “Having weight as close to the face surface as possible while maximizing moment of inertia provides the straightest putts on miss-hits ever measured. Frontline technology has eliminated the miss-hits. No matter where you hit on the insert, the ball will go straight and the same distance.”
Brekke suggests that the expanded options all benefit from a widened sweet spot that will result in a player making more putts.
“This lineup, with additional models and builds, provides all options for players to uniquely align at impact,” he added. “And from single bend to slant necks, we have a Frontline model to fit every golfer’s game.”
