This year has seen Callaway Golf enhance three of its most popular golf balls with new technologies.
Consider Supersoft, a two-piece product. Its hybrid cover now features a “Paraloid Impact Modifier,” a component that is designed to help add yards to shots while optimizing spin and improving short game feel and control.
In addition, this ball boasts a high-speed soft compression core made to promote higher launch and lower spin in longer clubs. A hex aerodynamics pattern is included to reduce drag and further enhance distance.
Next up is Supersoft Max. Another two-piecer, it is regarded as Callaway’s longest ball for slow-speed players, with an oversized but conforming design that uses a tri-blend ionomer cover and a low-compression core.
Then, there is the three-piece, ERC Soft. This one possesses that same hybrid cover used in Supersoft as well as a high-speed mantle (for more efficient transfer of energy between the layers of the ball as well as more wedge spin around the green) and a high-energy core (for greater ball speed and distance through the bag). ERC Soft is also sold with triple-track lines to help with focus and aim on putts.
