The latest iterations of Srixon’s Z-Star series give golfers two distinct choices in golf balls.
There’s the Z-Star, which has a cover that is 0.6 mm thicker than previous generations, for better spin and control around the green. Company officials say that when that is paired with a FastLayer Core, it provides an enviable combination of distance and feel.
With regards to the Z-Star XV, it relies on a reformulated inner core to bolster ball speed and distance without sacrificing feel.
Both products are available in pure white and tour yellow.
“The new Z-Star and Z-Star XV golf balls are specifically designed for better players,” said Jeff Bunski, the company’s vice president of research and development. “The Z-Star XV is played by some of the longest hitters on the professional tours, and this new generation boasts a reformulated inner core to add even more distance.”
He adds that the new Z-Star produces the highest greenside spin of any ball in the Srixon lineup.
Both models employ new Spin Skin technology with Slide-Ring material (SeRM), a urethane compound that works to maximize control and stopping power.
They also feature a 338 Speed Dimple pattern that is made to improve aerodynamics and promote optimum flight performance in even the toughest wind conditions.
