Callaway’s ball lineup is enhanced by its new Chrome Tour Triple Diamond and its latest limited-edition Chrome Tour “May Major” offering, infused with the spirit of Philadelphia ahead of the PGA Championship at Aronimink.
The limited May Major balls ($59.99 per dozen) feature four unmistakable Philly symbols – the Broad Street sign, Liberty Bell, Benjamin Franklin and soft pretzels.
The new Chrome Tour Triple Diamond golf balls ($57.99 per dozen) are designed for faster-swinging players who prefer a consistently penetrating flight, slightly firmer feel and lower spin on full shots.
The Triple Diamond balls feature Chrome Tour’s revolutionary “fast mantle” – which uses a material that generates distance through an optimized core/layer system – along with its “seamless” aerodynamic package for consistency and high-performance urethane cover for feel and greenside control.
“This is a product that generally speaking is for the player that wants a slightly lower spin profile with a firmer feel,” said Jason Finley, Callaway’s global golf ball director.
“The Tour Fast Mantle is a higher-flex modulus, and we’re applying that technology to the Chrome Tour Triple Diamond to ensure that it is an incredibly fast golf ball,” said Eric Loper, senior director of golf ball R&D. “This new material enables us to do that, without increasing spin rates. And with the Seamless Tour Aero [construction] we’re able to make this ball more consistent, especially into the green.”
