Everything seems to be trending to “zero,” from sodas (calories) to putters (torque) to shoes (drop). Now Golf Pride brings it to putter grips with the new Zero Taper.
The Zero Taper putter grip has a uniform geometric shape to ensure that both the lead and trailing hands have the same feel, promoting a more synchronized stroke for those who prefer non-tapered putter grips, the company says.
“Two years ago, we introduced Reverse Taper, and it quickly became one of the top-selling putter grips worldwide,” said James Ledford, Golf Pride president. “With Zero Taper, we’re building on that success by offering players who favor a consistent geometric shape a grip that meets their needs.”
An innovative design with a deeper side profile optimizes hand placement, allowing golfers to sense, control and better square the putter face. Visual alignment cues and a unique horseshoe-shaped back side create a natural and comfortable resting place for finger folds and encourage consistent grip pressure.
The putter grip also maintains a consistent weight profile across all sizes, preserving the putter’s sweet spot and making it easier to feel the position of the putter head throughout the stroke.
Like the Reverse Taper grip introduced in 2024, the Zero Taper is constructed using polyurethane, providing an ideal feel, texture and weight to ensure the new grips are soft, yet responsive.
Zero Taper grips ($29.99) are available in medium and large with three distinct colors – black, blue and red.
