Designed to help putters set up square, aim square and stay square without needing forward press, Odyssey’s all-new S2S Tri-Hot lineup is a step forward in zero-torque technology.
The new S2S Tri-Hot putter line will be available at retail starting Friday. The four models include Jailbird, #7 and Rossie (each $549.99) and Jailbird Cruiser ($599.99).
“We are truly moving zero-torque putters forward with a premium construction that makes it easy for players to set up square and stay square throughout their stroke,” said Jacob Davidson, Odyssey general manager and Callaway vice president of equipment product strategy. “It looks normal, yet its materials and performance are anything but.”
With a premium blend of tungsten, steel and ultra-light aluminum strategically placing more than 80 percent of the putter’s weight under the top line – coupled with Odyssey’s new Ai Dual insert – the S2S Tri-Hot putters move the center of gravity forward so that the hosel position can be placed forward and much closer to the face than typical zero-torque models. This innovative design promotes a more natural, intuitive and comfortable setup that eliminates the need for forward press.
The AI-designed dual-layer urethane insert has a soft outer layer and a firm inner layer to deliver consistent ball speed across the face. A new forward roll groove design also works in conjunction with the dual-layer insert to improve forward roll up and down the face.
The S2S Tri-Hot also incorporates a new mid-sized pistol grip and a black PVD shaft that’s heavier and stiffer than the SL 90 and ideally suited for this style of putter.
