FootJoy and menswear designer Todd Snyder believe they have the answer for how golfers from the ’60s and ’70s would dress today with the collaborative “Links” fall collection.
Inspired by the vintage links styles borrowed from traditional British plaid and argyle patterns merged with modern, technical fabrics, the Links Collection features polos, hoodies, cardigans, varsity jackets, trousers, socks and golf shoes reinvented for the modern gentleman golfer by FootJoy and Todd Snyder.

“When I was little, I caddied for my dad and my grandpa,” Snyder said. “I never had golf shoes until I was big enough to wear my dad’s, and he wore FootJoy. So I associate them with family time and comfort. I still remember how comfortable my dad’s shoes were.”
Snyder has a successful track record of collaborating with American heritage brands including L.L. Bean, Champion and Timex. That success led the menswear company to join forces again with FootJoy, which has been shodding golfers since Walter Hagen wore FootJoy spikes as captain of the American Ryder Cup team in 1927.
“We’re looking forward to the launch of the Links Collection and our continued partnership between FootJoy and Todd Snyder,” said Chris Tobias, vice president of FJ Footwear. “This collection is a strong interpretation of what golf style, authenticity and performance means to the modern golfer.”
The FootJoy shoe collection features traditional wingtip styles in white or black for $170. The body of the shoe is crafted from pebble grain leather and features a patent overlay and one-year waterproof guarantee. The Traditions series delivers lightweight, super-cushioned comfort and game-changing traction with Pulsar Softspikes cleats – all with classic full-brogue detailing, from the decorative wingtip to the collar.
The complementing Todd Snyder clothing ranges from a cocktail argyle cashmere cardigan ($498) and reversable bomber jacket ($398) to a fleece hoodie ($185). A variety of raglan knit pique polos are each $115.
