There’s more to assessing a golf shot than simply calculating the distance between points A and B. The folks at Precision Pro golf assert, “if it’s not personalized, it’s not precise.”
To that end, Precision Pro has introduced its MySlope technology to its rechargeable R1 Smart Rangefinder and ACE Smart Speaker to provide what the company describes as the most personalized experience on the course.
MySlope technology combines a player’s unique ball data – launch angle, spin rate, ball speed – with variables such as altitude, temperature and humidity to provide a game-changing level of accuracy in determining adjusted distance applied to every course, club and swing that is specific to each player. It incorporates this advanced smart technology in its latest rangefinder and speaker.
The R1 Smart Rangefinder ($319) provides front, center and back GPS distances and includes Wind Assist, which harnesses real-time weather data to calculate the effect of the wind on every shot, displaying the number of yards to add or subtract to your distance.
The ACE Smart Speaker ($149.99) – which stands for Audio Caddie Experience – does more than just stream music. It connects with Bluetooth to the Precision Pro Golf app to announce and display accurate yardages to the user, including GPS readings for the front, middle and back of the green, as well as MySlope adjusted figures directly from the rangefinder. It has 18 to 24 hours of battery life, a magnetic cart grip and a connection range of up to 50 yards that can be controlled via hand-held remote.
The speaker also can identify hazards and personal layup locations. And with the push of a button, it can activate crowd celebrations heard at tour events such as “baba-booey,” or “mashed potatoes.”
Both items also include the Find My Precision Pro feature, which reminds the golfer to secure them when the round is complete or alerts them through Bluetooth if left behind.
