The newly released RS-G golf shoes from Puma are inspired by the footwear maker’s popular series of RS running shoes from the 1980s – and designed especially for golfers (hence the “G” in the name).
They incorporate what company officials describe as “the same bold, chunky silhouette as the sport-style version” but with a reengineered upper that is seam-sealed and completely waterproof, thanks in large part to the use of microfiber leather and TPU skin. The outsole traction pattern has exaggerated and pronounced carbon rubber lugs that are strategically placed in different zones of the outsole to provide proper stability and grip, the company says. And a Fusion Foam midsole is designed with a Softfoam sock liner to enhance comfort.
“The RS-G shoes are the perfect combination of street and sports style combined with modern technologies and updates that make them relevant to today’s golfer,” said Andrew Lawson, product line manager for footwear at Puma Golf.
Priced at $130 a pair, RS-G shoes are available in a variety of color combinations – from vaporous gray/thyme/pureed pumpkin to white/quiet shade/quarry – for men and women.
