Bushnell have introduced the latest additions to their popular lineup of laser rangefinders.
The new Tour V5 and Tour V5 Shift models both feature updated versions of the company’s Visual Jolt technology plus a useful integrated magnetic Bite mount. Both are guaranteed to provide readings accurate to within a yard, according to the company.
Bushnell’s Visual Jolt technology has been upgraded in both models specifically to instil greater confidence in the yardages they provide. Now, in addition to receiving a vibration, users will see a red ring on the display as soon as they have locked onto a target successfully.
The magnetic Bite mount allows the rangefinder to be secured to a golf trolley, a golf cart or any metal surface without the need for other attachments. With 7 pounds of pull strength, the attachment helps assure the rangefinder will stay put throughout a round.
Bushnell’s new Tour V5 and Tour V5 Shift rangefinders share many other features but the big difference between the two is that the Tour V5 Shift also comes with a new, improved algorithm which gives you the benefit of slope-adjusted readings. It can be turned off easily so it remains legal during tournament play.
“Golfers look to us to provide the most accurate distance readings on the course to perform at the highest level,” said Andrew Grose, managing director of Yumax Golf, Bushnell’s European distributor. “We are constantly innovating and developing new technologies, and with the addition of our Bite magnetic cart mount, Visual Jolt and our updated slope algorithm in the Tour V5 Shift, we continue to provide golfers with the products they need to increase their confidence and play better golf.”
The Tour V5 and Tour V5 Shift are rainproof and come complete with a carry case, a three-volt battery and a two-year warranty. The recommended retail price is £299 for the Tour V5 and £359 for the Tour V5 Shift with its slope-switch technology.
