Ping’s new autumn/winter men’s apparel range looks set to reinforce the company’s growing reputation for producing garments which help golfers look and play their best even in the worst of weather conditions.
Following the huge success of its previous Norse PrimaLoft Series, Ping has expanded its partnership with market-leading performance insulation brand PrimaLoft for its latest autumn/winter collection, which features an updated and expanded range of high-performance garments.
For the first time, it also features innovative PrimaLoft Gold Insulation with Cross Core Technology, a revolutionary fusion of PrimaLoft microfibres with aerogel intended to deliver previously unattainable levels of warmth. Acclaimed for its ultra-lightweight and insulative properties, aerogel originally was developed by NASA for use in aeronautical applications. It is composed of more than 95 percent air and forms a temperature barrier that provides a higher warmth-to-weight ratio than any garment Ping has produced previously, according to the company.
This latest technology can be found in the new Norse PrimaLoft Vest, which features a quilted black fabric outer, offers a water-resistant finish and can be reversed so that the clean snorkel blue inner is worn on the outside. It also offers packet-into-pocket functionality which means it takes up very little room in your golf bag. The RRP is £110.
The new SensorDry 2.5 jacket and waterproof pant comprise the brand’s most advanced waterproof suit to date. Developed with the help of Ping tour staff, it is lightweight, waterproof, breathable and windproof and is designed to provide maximum freedom of movement. It also layers perfectly with the Norse PrimaLoft Vest and comes with a five-year warranty. The RRP is £200 (jacket) and £140 (pant).
Also available are the new Norse PrimaLoft Jacket II (RRP £150) and the Norse PrimaLoft Zoned Jacket II (RRP £130), two quilted garments which are lightweight, breathable, water-resistant and are designed to provide core warmth and exceptional comfort even in the worst of weather conditions.
