Bay Creek Resort & Club is a gated private resort club community on the Chesapeake Bay. The club is private to outside guests unless you stay at the resort. The club is located on the southern end of the eastern shore of Virginia near the historic town of Cape Charles. The nearest golf course is 40 miles away.
The merchandising goal of the club is to provide guests with a high-level experience from the moment they walk into the golf shop. We not only want to have top-of-the line quality products but also extend a friendly and professional feel. The product buying mix is important, but the staff is the most important part of the success here. We all strive to be welcoming and accommodating to the needs of each guest. Even with a very small staff, all the staff members are well trained and knowledgeable about the products being offered. A happy guest who feels at home and comfortable will always spend more and buy more often.
In addition, the shop must look clean and well organized. We also buy mostly bright, vibrant colors and patterns to merchandise the shop. With our location very near Chesapeake Bay, as well as being a vacation destination, the bright, vibrant colors sell so much better. Resort guests are happiest on vacation and really gravitate to those colors and patterns. Great products with a friendly professional staff are the main keys to the success of the golf merchandising operation.
