Dunedin Golf Club, a Donald Ross design that opened on January 1, 1927, and once home of the PGA of America, has just received a $6-million course renovation courtesy of Kris Spence. It costs between $85 and $130 to play this municipal gem.
Dream Golf, the development team behind megahits Bandon Dunes and Sand Valley, is hard at work to unveil its first project in Florida, not far from Panama City. Tom Doak will be the architect of record. No word yet on when this project will be open.
The #1 course in the Caribbean is sharpening its fangs. Teeth of the Dog, the premier layout at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic, is expected to reopen by the end of the year after a refresh from Jerry Pate Design.
David McLay Kidd will building the 5th course at Streamsong, the property announced in January. The final timeline for the project, and even the name, aren’t yet determined.
A 12-hole, 4,000 yard layout called The Commons will be ready for play next year at Wisconsin’s Sand Valley. The sixth course on property, it’ll be the first solo design by Jim Craig, a golf architecture veteran who has long worked with Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw.
