The 3rd Chicago Adaptive Open presented by Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, June 13–14 at Oswego’s Fox Bend Golf Course, is slated to be the event’s grandest iteration yet – both on and off the course.
For the first time ever, the field of players will be at capacity, with 84 top golfers with physical and intellectual disabilities slated to compete. The on-course competition will be complemented by an array of off-course elements to make the weekend one to remember. Read on for more information about what to expect.
International Field Awaits
In total, eight countries and 25 states will be represented by the capacity field, which will be competing across 15 Sports Classifications for a total purse of $30,000. Those expected to play include:
● The event’s first two Overall Champions - 2024 victor Jarrett Fultz (Queen Creek, Arizona) and defending champion Ford Martin (Nashville, Tennessee)
● 2025 Overall Senior champion Mark Sissom (Scott City, Kansas)
● 15 2025 Sports Classification winners: Martin, Victor Postillion (Winfield, Illinois), Kyle Erickson (Minneapolis, Minnesota), Evan Mathias (Indianapolis, Indiana), Ryan Matthews (Anderson, Indiana), Andrew Austen (Charleston, South Carolina), Matt Parker (Wauconda, Illinois), Issa Nlareb Amang (France), Jimmy Moceri (Rochester Hills, Michigan), Max Togisala (Ogden, Utah), Jake Olson (Jacksonville, Florida), Ricky Reilly (Lysander, New York), Matthew Snowdon (Annapolis, Maryland), Nancy Towers (Downers Grove, Illinois) and Deborah Smith (Rockford, IIllinois)

Click-Pearl Cup Moves To Illinois
As outlined in the February edition of Chicago District Golfer – scan QR code (right) to read – the Click-Pearl Cup is a home-and-home event between five-person teams from Arizona and Illinois. Following the initial stage at the Arizona Adaptive Open in December, the second part of the competition will be held at Fox Bend as part of the Chicago Adaptive Open.
Live Stream With CGN Returns
The event will once again be live streamed through a collaboration between CDGATV and CGN. Longtime WGN sportscaster Dan Roan, CDGATV’s Tim Merrick and ESPN 1000’s Tyler Aki will carry the coverage on both days of competition, with Saturday, June 13 focusing on each player’s opening tee shot and Sunday, June 14 following leading competitors. Admission Free, Post-Event Entertainment Featured All Weekend
Locals are encouraged to witness the inspiring competition up close, as admission is free for all attendees. The inspiring action on the course will also be complemented by engaging entertainment throughout the weekend. Friday, June 12 will be highlighted by the CDGA Foundation Nine & Dine Pro-Am presented by Wadsworth Golf Charities, with a reception featuring local music to follow. More music will welcome fans and spectators following play on Saturday, June 13, before the event concludes with another concert and awards ceremony on the evening of Sunday, June 14.
