April marks the start of spring - a time of new beginnings. This April is my final month as your City Librarian as I embark on my next chapter - what I’m calling my jubilation. What’s jubilation, you might ask? It’s a new season of my life focused on pursuing joy, sharing my gifts in different ways, and exploring new opportunities to serve the community.
As I reflect on my 23 years of service, I am so grateful for your support. I’m proud of all the work Denver Public Library has done to ensure we continue to innovate to meet the needs of our evolving community.
The search for the new City Librarian is underway and I know the community will embrace them as you have embraced me over the years. I am confident that the selected candidate will be a capable steward and champion for our mission, our staff, and the extended library family.
While this moment feels bittersweet, it’s not an ending—it’s a new beginning filled with ongoing purpose and joy. The future is bright, and I am so grateful for your ongoing support of our mission. I truly love this organization and this community.
Sincerely,
Michelle Jeske
