Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to ACP’s Internal Medicine Meeting 2021: Virtual Experience. ACP has been my professional home for the past 32 years, and each year I look forward to the annual meeting. I find this event so important for internists, and so rewarding personally.
This past year has been challenging on many fronts for all of us, with the COVID-19 pandemic impacting every aspect of internal medicine. The challenges and uncertainties of these times also bring opportunities for innovation and change. ACP’s rich tradition of educational excellence presented at our annual meetings serves as the foundation upon which we have built this compelling virtual learning experience—one that provides an opportunity to learn, to grow, and to connect with our internal medicine colleagues and community. This new experience provides education to support the full scope of medical practice, and opportunities to earn even more CME credit than ever. As always, the scientific and practice-related sessions will be delivered by world-class faculty, and there will be opportunities for live Q&A, live polling, and live chats.
New offerings this year include the following:
· Meeting hosts help you navigate each day for an optimal learning experience.
· Three renowned plenary speakers are featured for a different keynote address each day.
· Shorter microsessions offer bite-sized learning on a diverse array of topics.
· An assortment of networking and engagement opportunities cover a variety of issues.
· A virtual Exhibit Hall features the ACP Resource Center, Symposia, Innovation Theaters, and Doctor’s Challenge.
· The ACP Job Placement Center provides virtual opportunities to connect with professional advancement opportunities.

Our desire for continual learning makes internists preeminent clinicians and accomplished diagnosticians. ACP’s Internal Medicine Meeting offers all of us the opportunity to learn together and grow professionally to meet our goal of providing excellence in patient care.
I am delighted that you are joining us for our meeting, Mastering Medicine Together and being part of a unique and special piece of ACP history.
Sincerely,
