At 9:15 today in Hall B2, Christine Laine, MD, MPH, FACP, Editor-in-Chief of Annals of Internal Medicine, will moderate "New in Annals of Internal Medicine: Hear It First from the Authors," a discussion with authors of three late-breaking research studies covering important clinical topics.
Dr. Laine is a professor of medicine in the division of internal medicine at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, where she is active in patient care and teaching. Dr. Laine first joined Annals in June 1995 as the journal's first general internal medicine Associate Editor and the first woman to fill an Associate Editor position at the journal. She became a Deputy Editor in 1998 and Senior Deputy Editor in April 2008. In July 2009, Dr. Laine became the youngest and first solo female Editor-in-Chief of Annals of Internal Medicine and a Senior Vice President at ACP.
