Dear Campers,
Welcome to New York State’s great outdoors! We’re glad you’re here.
Now more than ever, unplugging from our devices and connecting with nature and others is so important for maintaining our sense of wellness. We are fortunate to have world-class public lands throughout our State to escape to for a much-needed break from the digital landscape.
Whether planning a weekend getaway to the Adirondacks or Catskills, or pausing to take in the splendor at the “Grand Canyon of the East” in Letchworth State Park, we invite you to discover all the natural wonders the Empire State has to offer. From hiking to fishing to boating to picnicking and swimming, safe, affordable adventure awaits you, your friends, and your family.
As we head into another fun-filled camping season, we’re continuing to take efforts to invest in our natural environment. With record-breaking attendance numbers year after year, you continue to show us how important these lands are to you – and we intend to ensure they’re around for future generations to enjoy.
I wish you all a safe, rejuvenating, and enjoyable camping season, and I look forward to seeing you and your families enjoying the great outdoors this year!
We’ll see you out there!
Sincerely,
Kathy Hochul, Governor
