As we celebrate the seven-year anniversary of American Outdoor News, I find myself reflecting on the remarkable adventure that has brought us to this moment. What began as a passion for the outdoors has grown into a publication dedicated to capturing the very spirit of the outdoor lifestyle. Over the years, we have sought to share not only stories of hunts, fishing trips, and wilderness journeys, but also to honor the people, places, and traditions that make these experiences timeless. At its core, American Outdoor News is about more than the thrill of the pursuit—it’s about preserving our heritage, showcasing the camaraderie found in the field, and ensuring that the traditions we hold dear are passed down to future generations.
Over the past seven years, I’ve had the privilege of sitting down with legendary musicians, athletes, and actors whose names and accomplishments reach far beyond the fields, waters, and forests we hold dear. Yet what stands out most is not their fame, but the fact that they share the very same passion for the outdoors that we do. For this special anniversary edition, we’ve brought together seven of our most memorable conversations—with Bo Jackson, Ted Nugent, Joe Mantegna, Adam Vinatieri, Travis Tritt, Ryan Klesko, and Steve Austin. Each of these icons has built a legacy in their own arena, yet they also cherish the traditions, values, and simple joys that define our outdoor lifestyle. It has been a privilege to bring their stories to life, showcasing not only their accomplishments but their deep connection to the land, the water, and the traditions we strive to preserve.
This milestone edition could never have been possible without the steadfast support of our advertising partners who believed in our mission, and to our readership who have followed and supported us through every edition. Your loyalty and encouragement over the past seven years have been the true measure of our success.
We have also been humbled to receive several prestigious awards in recent years—recognition that would not have been possible without the many individuals, contributors, and supporters who have helped carry us forward.
Here’s to seven years of celebrating the outdoor lifestyle—and to many more ahead.
