Who does not like a good burger? Everybody loves a good burger. Once you try this recipe – this will be your go-to for all of your burgers. Normally when I am making venison burgers, I would usually toss them on the grill or my fire pit, but because it was twenty-four degrees out today, I opted for the cast-iron frying pan on the stove. But do ya know something? They still turned out outstanding. You can never go wrong while cooking with a cast-iron pan.
This is a very simple burger recipe that will give your venison amazing flavor. Even your friends who refuse to consume any type of wild game will never be able to tell the difference. Trust me on this one, I have tested that theory and passed with flying colors.
There are only a few ingredients and it is very easy to prepare.
- One pound of Ground Venison
- One Teaspoon of Roasted Beef Boullion Paste
- Six Cloves of Roasted Garlic
- Eight strips of cooked bacon
- Cheese to top – I used Pepper Jack but you can use whatever your pallet prefers.
- Sea Salt & Ground Pepper to taste.
First place the bacon strips into the cast iron frying pan. Fry to a medium crisp. Next, mix in the six cloves of roasted garlic. The roasted garlic should just blend in with the ground venison. Then add in the teaspoon on beef bullion past then add in just a touch of bacon grease. The bacon grease adds flavor to your meat and it also helps to mix in the beef bullion paste. Add in your sea salt and pepper to taste and mix all of the ingredients together. I used a large fork but you can mix it by hand just as well.
Once the ingredients are mixed, divide the ground venison into four patties. Place them into the cast iron frying pan with some bacon grease still in the pan for roughly two to three minutes per side. Top the patties with the Pepper Jack Cheese & cover the cast iron frying, allowing the cheese to melt over the burgers.
Slice open the bun of your choice and add some sliced lettuce, tomato and whatever toppings you desire. Place the first patty on the bun & top with two slices of bacon. Pile the second patty and add two more slices of bacon. There is nobody who will be able to resist the sight of this beautiful Double Venison Bacon Cheese Burger.
