At Ameren Corporation, Gwen Mizell has been named chief sustainability and diversity officer. The role is an expansion of Mizell’s previous duties as the company’s chief sustainability officer, a position she has held since last fall. Mizell reports directly to CEO Marty Lyons. The news follows the announcement by Sharon Harvey Davis, Ameren’s longtime vice president of diversity, equity and inclusion and chief diversity officer, of her plan to retire May 1 after a 20-year career at the company.
AVANGRID Inc. announced the appointment of Pedro Azagra Blázquez as CEO of AVANGRID. Azagra succeeds Dennis Arriola, who has decided to leave the business. Azagra has served as a member of the AVANGRID board of directors since 2019, and he was also a member from 2014 to 2018.
National Fuel Gas Company announced that Michael Kasprzak, president of National Fuel Gas Midstream Company LLC, has retired after more than 40 years with the company. Justin I. Loweth, president of Seneca Resources Company LLC, has been appointed president of Midstream and retains his role at Seneca Resources. James Welch has been promoted to vice president of Midstream. In addition, Jeffrey F. Hart, vice president of corporate responsibility, will retire effective June 1. Sarah J. Mugel, National Fuel’s general counsel and corporate secretary, has been appointed as the officer with oversight for the company’s corporate responsibility function. Meghan A. Corcoran has been named general manager of corporate responsibility and will maintain her existing responsibilities as deputy general counsel for National Fuel Gas Distribution Corporation and assistant general manager of the land department.
NW Natural Renewables Holdings LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Northwest Natural Holding Company, has hired Michael Kotyk as president of NW Natural Renewables, a line of business of NW Natural Holdings that focuses on providing renewable natural gas to a variety of sectors.
